problem with my webcam!

The increased bandwidth facilitates the use of video signals over the broadband; along with that webcams have improved allowing video compression in better fashion. If the peripherals are working fine then the whole experience is fun. But if they are not working well, then this can raise problems in communicating.

Then dealing with problems becomes a necessity. Most webcam problems deal with no image error but other wise there actually may be an error or your device is not accepted by the programs as video source. So, here are some tips to solve problems:

• First check if your webcam is connected to your computer. Most webcam types use a USB port to connect to the PC, so check if USB wire is properly plugged in your PC.(if you have a webcam which is built in your monitor do not try this step).

• Now go to the device manager on your Windows control panel. See if your device is recognized and installed properly, try testwebcam webite is a free online service which automatically connects to your webcam to test if it is working. Some problem arise even your camera is recognized but the drivers to run the hardware are not installed. So if a problem arises it is indicated by an exclamation mark (!)

• If the device is not enlisted in Windows it may be listed under Other Devices.

• You can try and update the drivers. To do that you just have to right click on the device and select “Update Driver Software”. Follow the instructions given by the Update Installer.

• If even this does not work then you can ask for a third party help program or driver to carry out the installation. These programs scan your PC for the already installed hardware and install the missing drivers.

• If the above method also fails then next step is to un-install the software that actually runs your webcam. You can do that using the Add or Remove programs from the control panel

• After uninstalling your webcam restart the machine and then re-install the webcam software.

To solve the image clarity problem try to adjust the focus of your webcam and adjust the rest of the properties, as you want it.
