Webcam Visiting Japan in a virtual way!

Want to visit Japan (or any other country) but dont have the money, time or just can´t? Thanks to the Internet, there are other ways to visit this interesting country. You can always use webcams! Just by doing some search on the web, I found some great sites featuring webcams where you can see daily life in Japan.
There are some cameras where you can see people walking in the streets, cars going around, just the things you see every day in a big city or watch natural landscapes, including a sunset on Mt. Fuji for example….Everything in real time.

There are other cameras where you can actually control the movement of it in real time too! Thanks to some companies like Canon that develops this kind of cameras, You can zoom or rotate the camera to see more of the action going around. Due to concerns on privacy, the movements of this kind of cameras are limited.  However, this does not limit the enjoyment of watching daily life Japan.  Another aspect I like about using webcams is that it is funny to see for example that it is night in Tokyo while I am working at day…and viceversa.

The websites I like to visit from time to time are Tokyo Street which features several cameras around Tokyo and also, there is LIVE JAPAN that is a directory of different Japanese webcams sites. Of course, this could never replace the feeling of actually visiting Japan…being physically there but if you can´t visit it because of the reasons I mentioned, you can have some fun travelling to Japan on a webcam.
