The September 11 attacks (often referred to as September 11th or 9/11) were a series of coordinated suicide attacks by Al-Qaeda upon the United States on September 11, 2001
The new 9/11 Memorial Preview Site, which drew more than 2,000 visitors on its first day, is in a 3,000-square-foot space. Among its exhibits are models of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, scheduled to open by 2012, and an 8-foot-tall model of the Statue of Liberty covered with rosary beads, condolence notes and other tributes to the attacks’ victims.
You can also view a four-minute movie about the attacks and their aftermath. And If you have memories of the Sept. 11 events that you’d like to share, you can record your story on the spot for possible use in a “soundscape” at the future museum.
Even if you can’t make it to New York, you can view many live webcam in NYC. It’s pretty interesting.
